Accessibility Statement for Veterinary Antimicrobial Stewardship Community of Practice
This statement was prepared following the GOV.UK accessibility guidance.
Using this website
This website is run by the Veterinary Antimicrobial Stewardship Community of Practice, supported by the University of Liverpool. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- Switch to high contrast, grayscale, or inverted modes
- Enlarge text for easier reading
- Navigate most of the website using only a keyboard
- Navigate using a screen reader
- Use a reading guide to focus on single lines of content
- Reduce or increase visual saturation
- Switch to simplified layouts
We’ve also tried to make the website text as clear and straightforward as possible.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible yet:
- Some older PDFs or downloadable documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader users
- Some images may lack descriptive alternative text
- Interactive elements (such as some third-party embeds or plugins) might not be fully navigable by keyboard or screen readers
We are working to resolve these issues as part of our ongoing development process.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We have implemented the following accessibility tools across the website:
- Black and white mode (grayscale)
- High and low contrast modes
- Font size adjustment
- Reading guide overlay
- Keyboard navigation support
- Layout switching
- Saturation control
We regularly monitor user feedback and accessibility tools to ensure compatibility with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, and we aim to align with WCAG 2.2 where possible.
